Corporal George T Floyd USMC (son of Thomas J and Clara Burris Floyd) was a member of the Fifth Marine Regiment, First Marine Division at the time of his death. He was killed in an automobile accident on May 3, 1955 near Amarillo, Texas. George was born in Stockdale, Texas on November 12, 1934. George served in Korea with the First Marine Division and patrolled the Korean Demilitarized Zone as a member of the First Provisional Demilitarized Zone Police Company.
