Salvador Padilla Sr.

Salvador Padilla Sr. of Simi Valley, California, passed away on April 12, 2015 at age 83. Salvador was born on August 29, 1931 in Libertyville, Illinois to Pedro and Maria Padilla. Sam, as he was known to his U.S. Marine shipmates, was interred at Eternal Valley Memorial Park and Mortuary, 23287 North Sierra Hwy, Newhall, CA 91321. Sam was a "Plank Owner" of the First Provisional Demilitarized Zone Police Company, First Marine Division in Korea formed after the 1953 cease fire to police the Korean Demilitarized Zone.
